The Swiss manufacturer of premium car care products, also known as Car Cosmetics, is renowned for high quality waxes for automobiles, motorcycles, yachts and aircraft.
The SWISSVAX developers set new benchmarks with the goal of creating a wax that pushes the limits of what is technically possible. The vision was to develop a product that delivers maximum gloss, the highest level of protection and exceptional longevity. The result is CARAT.
The fundamentals
Carnauba is the key ingredient when it comes to achieving outstanding gloss on a vehicle. Conventional waxes typically contain only 5 to 10 percent carnauba. SWISSVAX waxes start at 30 percent carnauba (SWISSVAX Onyx) and go up to 76 percent (SWISSVAX Crystal Rock). Such high concentrations of premium carnauba cannot be processed industrially. For this reason, the SWISSVAX manufactory produces each wax by hand, ensuring a significantly higher level of quality. In addition, SWISSVAX is one of the few manufacturers to incorporate PTFE into its wax formulations.
PTFE resin, polytetrafluoroethylene, belongs to the group of paraffinic polymers in which hydrogen atoms are partially or fully replaced by fluorine. The original PTFE resin was invented in 1938 by DuPont and marketed under the name Teflon. PTFE offers exceptional resistance to chemicals and features one of the lowest friction coefficients of all materials known today.
The secret of quality
The latest high end premium wax CARAT by SWISSVAX reaches an impressive 81 percent carnauba content, delivering an unprecedented level of gloss. In addition, it contains a maximum concentration of PTFE, providing extreme resistance to insects, dirt and other contaminants.
The intense gloss and the remarkable “hardness” of this wax, comparable to a brilliant gemstone, are reflected in its name: SWISSVAX CARAT.
This new wax is launched as a limited special edition. Restricted to just 100 pieces worldwide, it is presented in specially designed 100 ml containers. A signature fragrance developed exclusively for this wax further emphasizes its exclusivity. The first international pre orders were placed immediately after the pre premiere.
One 100 ml container is sufficient for approximately 10 to 15 applications, depending on the vehicle, and provides protection for up to 12 months.
